Cross-Platform Mobile Consulting

If your company wants a mobile application, one of the first questions you'll need to answer is which mobile platforms you want to support.  The mobile platform with the biggest market share is Google's Android operating system, but there are also many people using Apple's iOS platform, as well as people using Blackberries, Windows Phones, and other devices.  One of the big problems with this market fragmentation is that each platform requires apps to be written in different ways.  Even different versions of the same mobile platform require apps to be created differently.  Because of that, you would normally need to create a different app for each mobile platform, and that can greatly drive up your development and maintenance costs.

We have a better way.  A MUCH better way.  We create mobile applications that work on all mobile platforms using a single code base, using industry-standard technologies.  Those technologies are all standard technologies that were originally developed for web sites.  Even though these technologies were created for the web, they work perfectly well for mobile applications as well, allowing the apps to:
  • Access all sensors on the mobile device
  • Be fully touch-enabled
  • Be downloadable from iTunes Store or Google Play
  • Start by having users click the app icon on their mobile device

Another benefit of this approach is that it is easy to find resources that can assist you with your ongoing app development/maintenance needs.

Please contact us to learn more!  We'll be glad to give demonstrations of the mobile apps we've developed using these tools, and talk more about our approach for providing you with a high-quality, low-cost solution.

Geek Talk

We build applications using the technologies listed on the right side of this page.  Everything is based on web standards:  HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript.

To improve quality and reduce costs, we use Typescript to compile our code, checking for correct use of code and data prior to deployment.

To improve the maintainability of the code, we use AngularJS, which is a powerful technology from Google that allows us to easily separate the presentation layer from the business logic.

To create a touch-enabled mobile user interface, we use the Ionic framework.

To embed the web technologies within a native mobile app, we use the Cordova framework.
